Dedicated to the memory of Hayden Brown

This site is a tribute to Hayden Brown, who was born on February 09, 1999 and passed away on October 16th, 2019. He was so loved. We ask that instead of sending flowers to the family, donations are made in Hayden's name. Our chosen charities are SUDEP Action (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy), Epilepsy Action and Muir Maxwell Trust (charity who provided Hayden with an epilepsy bed alarm).

Please use this page to share photos and memories of Hayden.

Thoughts

I am not just missing the 20 year old you were, I'm grieving for the future we should have had, the man you were on your way to becoming. I grieve for the fun and the adventures and even the arguments. This Christmas is a huge reminder of Christmases that have gone, and the ones that you should be part of yet to come. You loved deeply and unashamedly and my promise to you is that I will never stop saying your name. I will talk about epilepsy and the deverstation it has caused, and I will make sure every person I know who knows someone fighting it, will know about Sudep and how to reduce their risk. You will never be forgotten while there is breath in my body. Love mum xx 💔💜💔

Life was not always kind to you Hayden but whatever was happening you always bounced back, you made me laugh, cry, tear my hair, but always you did what you thought right. You brought love and hugs to all of us. You loved your sisters and your mother and like all families we thought we had all the time in the world to enjoy your company, we were wrong and now there is a massive hole in the family where you used to be. We can't laugh with you any more nor spend hours putting the world to rights but we have had 20years of memories to keep us going. I hope you are feeling well now and walking-and running-with pepper happy together for ever. You are and always will be my grandson and I will always love you. You taught me so much.

Thank you for taking the time to think of helping other's at this difficult time. Your thoughtful donations for Epilepsy Action will help people affected by epilepsy by giving them advice, information, access to local services and more all in Hayden's name. I hope that this tribute to Hayden will give you some small measure of comfort now and in future.
